Degree

Associate of Arts

A student on a laptop sits at the end of a row of students seated at a desk.

If you are considering a career in the arts, we recommend pursuing an Associate of Arts degree to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree. The Associate of Arts degree requires completion of more arts and humanities courses, such as English and Philosophy (and fewer math and science courses).

Economic Value of COTC on the COTC Enrollment Area

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) creates value in many ways. The college plays a key role in helping students increase their employability and achieve their individual potential. The college supports a variety of industries in the COTC enrollment area, serves regional businesses, and benefits society as a whole in Ohio from an expanded economy and improved quality of life. Additionally, the benefits created by COTC extend to the state and local government through increased tax revenues and public sector savings.

The study, published in November 2022 by Lightcast, measures the economic impacts created by COTC on the business community and the benefits the college generates in return for the investments made by its key stakeholder groups—students, taxpayers, and society.
