Alumni Council
The COTC Alumni Council consists of up to 20 alumni volunteers who serve as an advisory committee to the director of advancement for the purpose of suggesting and implementing programming and events for the Alumni Program. Council members are nominated and elected by the council, and serve staggered three-year terms. The council convenes for a one-hour meeting four times per year.

Alumni Awards
COTC recognizes impressive alumni who have used their COTC education as a stepping stone to professional achievement and community service through the presentation of three alumni awards each year. These alumni awards are presented during the annual Alumni Holiday Reception at the Newark campus in early December.
Commencement
Central Ohio Technical College holds two ceremonies each academic year following the completion of autumn semester in December and spring semester in May. All summer semester graduates will be invited to participate in the autumn commencement ceremony immediately following their completion.
