Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the home healthcare provider program, the graduate will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate basic knowledge of human body structure and function.
  2. Describe safe medication practices for the elderly client.
  3. Identify safety considerations for care of the medically complex child in the home care setting.
  4. Discuss effective strategies for promoting wellness and quality of life for the older adult.

Pre-Admission Requirements

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Pediatric Echo Cross Training Program is a selection-based program, meaning a student must meet requirements.

  1. Must be an employee of Nationwide Children’s Hospital
  2. Must be enrolled in Nationwide Children’s Hospital Pediatric Echocardiography Cross-Training Program
  3. Must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a health-related major (obtained from an accredited institution in the U.S) OR have earned an associate degree in a health-related major and have permission of the Program Director

If you are considering a career in the arts, we recommend pursuing an Associate of Arts degree to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree. The Associate of Arts degree requires completion of more arts and humanities courses, such as English and Philosophy (and fewer math and science courses).
