Digital Media Design Technology
Associate of Applied Science
The digital media design curriculum at COTC is a broad and intensive exploration of the process and the business of digital design. Students can expect to study the principles of design, color theory, social media and typography. Students will also take courses in specific digital software tools. Skills taught include critical thinking, design approaches, the underlying theories of digital media and a variety of digital media production techniques.
Alumni Council
The COTC Alumni Council consists of up to 20 alumni volunteers who serve as an advisory committee to the director of advancement for the purpose of suggesting and implementing programming and events for the Alumni Program. Council members are nominated and elected by the council, and serve staggered three-year terms. The council convenes for a one-hour meeting four times per year.

Associate of Technical Studies
Students can create their own degree plan and earn an Associate of Technical Studies (ATS) at Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) through two different options:
One-Year Option
The One-Year Option is a state program that allows career and technical center graduates and industry professionals to earn college credit toward an ATS.
Career Choices
COTC strives to prepare students for the workforce. In the digital media design technology program, students learn to develop resumes and other marketing tools specifically targeted toward digital media career opportunities.
Digital media is a field that offers students choices when it comes to career opportunities. Students can explore and pursue graphic design and web design career choices.

Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can I complete the electrocardiograph technician certificate program?
Students can complete the certificate in just two semesters.
Can I take classes online or face-to-face?
Students pursuing a healthcare certificate should expect to take classes face-to-face to experience hands-on learning. Some general education classes may be offered online.
Can I pursue an associate degree after I complete the certificate?
Students who complete a healthcare certificate are encouraged to continue their education because they are well on their way to completing the Associate of Applied Science in Health Services Technology.
What type of financial assistance is available to help me pay for college?
COTC awards $1 million in scholarships to students each year!
Every student is encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for grants, scholarships and loans.
Students who complete a FAFSA are automatically considered for some scholarships. Other scholarships require an application.
