REACH Gatekeeper training (suicide prevention)
Open to faculty, staff and students
Location: Warner Center Performance Platform
REACH Gatekeeper training is open to any staff, faculty or students who wish to learn more about suicide prevention. Learn how to recognize signs of distress in others and how to connect with someone who needs help.
REACH is a free, 90-minute training session. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of completion and other giveaways.
Veterans Emergency Fund
The Veterans Emergency Fund will provide financial assistance for veterans, active duty service members and reservists for expenses caused by unforeseen circumstances that threaten their academic progress and are not covered by military educational benefits or scholarships.

Electrical Transmission and Power Distribution Technology
As an energy delivery system operator associate for American Electric Power (AEP), Braden Feick is one of many “hands on deck” when a power outage sweeps through the area. Thanks to his extensive training at COTC — which dovetailed into an immersive internship in his field of study — Feick has been able to launch a fulfilling career that transitioned seamlessly from his education experience.
