Mission Statement
The Office of Student Life at the Newark campus strives to cultivate a campus community where students can achieve success and become responsible citizens. Our purpose is to support the university’s mission by providing services and programs, encouraging student learning in and out of the classroom, and developing a diverse community which is educationally purposeful, open, just, disciplined, caring and celebrative.
Grants
Students are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) to be considered for grant opportunities. Some grants may require an application in addition to the FASFA. Many COTC students are eligible for grants to help and/or cover the cost of tuition and in some cases books/supplies. Grants awarded to students do not need to be repaid.
Bressoud Recognized by Ohio State Newark and COTC
The Ohio State University at Newark Dean/Director William L. MacDonald, PhD, and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) President John M. Berry, PhD, presented the Julius S. and Joette Greenstein Award to Suzanne Bressoud, director of marketing and public relations for both Ohio State Newark and COTC.
New Scholarships Available for Knox County Residents to Attend COTC
The Knox County Foundation is offering a new Vocational Scholarship for Knox County residents to pursue career preparation. Current and prospective COTC students who are Knox County residents are invited to apply.
Fire Science Technology
Associate of Applied Science
Begin or advance your career as a firefighter with an Associate of Appied Science in Fire Science Technology from COTC. The two-year program at COTC is the only degree program in central Ohio accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).
