About Me

Hello! My name is Kevon Allen, and I am a part time Information Technology student here at Central Ohio Technical College. I’m also a student employee here in the Gateway. I choose COTC because I wanted a college that was both flexible and affordable. Attending a technical college was a good option for me because I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve, and this school allows me to earn a certification I need to start my career.

Hello! My name is Denise Turner, and I am a Diagnostic Medical Sonography student completing my major in cardiovascular sonography at COTC. Prior to this, I worked in several customer service positions, ranging from program administrator/coordinator to business associate. I chose COTC’s sonography program primarily because it offered the hands-on training that I believe is critical for students of sonography, and I knew this would prepare me to launch into my new job by graduation. COTC was the perfect fit!

A rather dramatic career change has brought me to COTC. My name is Matthew Arnold and after well over a decade of desk jobs I went looking for a career that is mentally stimulating, has some physical demands, and is fundamentally interesting to me. This path led me to exploring an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology from COTC. I chose COTC because I had already spent tens of thousands of dollars on a bachelor’s degree that provided me with no tangible job skills for the direction I now wanted to pursue. I have already begun to make connections and network within the industry locally which I believe will pay dividends when I seek full time employment after graduation. COTC has provided me a great environment to explore positions in civil engineering under the guidance of a fantastic faculty and a reasonable cost!
