The day his son graduated from COTC was one of the proudest moments of Jeff Pillow’s life. It may sound cliché, but this wasn’t just another milestone to adulthood. Collin became the third member of the Pillow family to attend COTC. Mom Julie was the first; Jeff the second.

The early childhood education technology associate degree at COTC prepares students for rewarding careers as professional lead and assistant teachers of children birth (infant/toddler) through preschool ages (3-5 years) and as assistant teachers in the public school setting. - The Civil Engineering Technology program’s enrollment for Autumn 2015 was 29 students. For all of 2015-2016 enrollment was 40 students.

Can I take classes online or face-to-face?
Students will be required to take the basic healthcare skills class in person. Depending on the location where it is taken, students may need to be at a location, in-person five days per week.
Where can the basic healthcare skills certificate be completed?
COTC partners with other locations to provide students more options to complete the basic healthcare skills certificate in Newark and Mount Vernon, and it can also be completed on the Coshocton and Pataskala campuses.

What else can I consider studying in nursing after I complete the basic healthcare skills certificate?
Students are encouraged to continue their nursing education. Many students who complete the basic healthcare skills certificate are working to meet the CNA requirement to apply to either the practical nursing certificate program or the associate degree nursing (ADN) program.

Technical rescue is a highly specialized “high risk/low frequency” area of fire department operations that requires a disproportionate amount of training and education when compared to “low risk/high frequency” operations in fire and emergency services.
Office of the President
President John M. Berry, PhD
John M. Berry, PhD, assumed the role of COTC president on January 1, 2019, and is the college’s second sole president. He was unanimously selected by the COTC Board of Trustees after a nationwide search.
Having previously served as director of student life at COTC, Berry returned to the college after positions at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, North Carolina; Rhodes State College in Lima, Ohio; and most recently, BridgeValley Community and Technical College in Montgomery, West Virginia.
Constitution Day
Constitution Day is a national holiday celebrated to ensure that students in our country gain an increased knowledge and appreciation for the Constitution of the United States of America. Observed on September 17th of each year, the day for that coincides with the date that the delegates of the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia in 1787.
