Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-initiated groups of The Ohio State University at Newark and/or Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) faculty and staff who share common interests, issues, backgrounds, characteristics or pursuits. Ohio State Newark and COTC recognize and support ERGs organized around the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, language, region of origin, life stage, physical challenge and sexual orientation.
COTC & C-TEC strengthen workforce development in Licking County
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and the Career and Technology Education Centers of Licking County (C-TEC) offer a certificate program in fire safety and EMT that is federal grant-eligible, to help those in need pay for tuition and other costs.

Each student receives four tickets that include the Great Pumpkin Fun Center. Student ID is required. Pick up tickets at Pigeon Roost Farms the Day of the event.

Our application for admission is free! Regular admission to the college is open to all who have earned a high school diploma, completed homeschooling at the secondary level, or passed the General Education Development (GED) test. Applications are due one week prior to the start of the term or semester in which you plan to enroll.

Higher Education
COTC encourages faculty and staff to pursue higher education to enrich their lives and to develop the highest quality workforce. To support employees pursuing higher education, the college allows faculty and staff to enroll in college courses and/or degree-granting programs and provides tuition assistance for up to 10 credit hours of coursework per academic semester. Teaching and Learning Center
The Teaching and Learning Center at COTC supports excellence in teaching and learning through a variety of professional development initiatives. The TLC seeks to support faculty and staff professional development through strategic programming, coaching, mentorship, and by leveraging peer-to-peer communities of learning.
COTC Premieres Viewpoint Feature and Launches New Mascot
On Wednesday, April 24, Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) hosted COTC Illuminated, an event which held the exclusive premiere of the Viewpoint television series featuring COTC, as well as the unveiling of the college’s new mascot.
