Industrial Electrician

Short-Term Certificate

Students who earn the Industrial Electrician Certificate will work closely with Electrical Engineers to design and develop industrial equipment. The Industrial Electrician Certificate offers students an introduction to the field of Electrical Engineering, an opportunity to learn CAD, and to enter the workforce as Engineering Technicians. Students who complete the Industrial Electrician Certificate can continue on to pursue an Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology degree.

Independence Day Concert and Fireworks

Map of campus and surrounding roads that visualizes the written road closures and traffic flow.

Sponsored by the J. Gilbert Reese Family Foundation, COTC​ and The Ohio State University at Newark. 

The evening’s celebration begins with popular local musical groups in the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre. The crowd-favorite fireworks display begins at dusk. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for a fun-filled evening of music and entertainment.

This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free.​​ A number of local vendors will be serving food and beverages.

Surgical Technology Degree

Pre-Admission Course Requirements

The Associate of Applied Science degree program in Surgical Technology is a selection-based program, meaning a student must APPLY to the program and then be SELECTED into the program before being able to meet graduation requirements. 

A grade of C (2.00) or better is required for all Surgical Technology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Medical Terminology courses in order to continue in and graduate from the Surgical Technology program.

Policies of the Surgical Technology program which are unique in regard to admission, re-admission, grading, and promotion are available in the Surgical Technology Student Handbook, Division of Health Technologies.

All Surgical Technology core courses (Didactics Only) are offered online.
