COTC awards over a million dollars annually

Because of the generosity of our many donors, COTC is proud to offer more than 50 different scholarships to our students. While the majority of available scholarships are automatic consideration and only require a student to be admitted and to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), some scholarships require students to complete a separate application and most require the FAFSA.

How quickly can I become an emergency medical services professional?

Students can complete the EMT Basic course to earn a certificate and will be eligible to apply and take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam to become a certified EMT. 

Can I take classes online or face-to-face?

The EMT Basic course is held face-to-face and includes hands-on learning. 

Students pursuing the emergency medical services associate degree can take classes face-to-face and online. 

How do I decide which location to take the EMT basic course?

Each location offers the EMT basic course at a different time, so students can choose a location that offers a time that works best with their schedule.

Students may also choose a location that’s convenient geographically.

COTC Accepting Nominations for Alumni Awards

Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is accepting nominations for three alumni awards: the Outstanding Alumni Award, the Transitions Alumni Award and the John C. “Jay” Barker Community Service Alumni Award. The award recipients will be announced at the virtual COTC Alumni Holiday Reception in December. The deadline for nominations is October 30.
