Program Accreditation Information
Accreditation
The fire science technology associate degree program at COTC is the only degree program in central Ohio accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).
The Fire Science Technology Program at COTC was the first program in the central Ohio to be recognized by U.S. Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) and follows the FESHE recommended curriculum.
A Dream in the Night
Just a few years ago, information technology (IT) student Kennard Haynie Jr., known as KJ, would lay his head down at night in his Baltimore, Maryland, home thinking that higher education would always be just a dream for him.
Management Certificate
If you have interest in business management, the Management Certificate at COTC is a great place to begin. The Management Certificate includes coursework focusing on a variety of areas including business law and financial practices in business. Students will also gain experience and learn technologies commonly used in business.
Tech Prep Scholarship
Central Ohio Technical College is offering a $1500 non-renewable scholarship to a student(s) graduating in Tech Prep. This scholarship award will be based on high school GPA, personal statement and teacher recommendation. Priority consideration will be given to those students who submit their application by April 1, 2021.

Hello COTC student. As a follow-up to the exciting AEP Apprenticeship Opportunity information you’ve been receiving, we would like to remind you that the ATTACHED Apprenticeship Program Interest Form (application) is DUE THIS WEEK (November 2).
In addition to the application, please include your RESUME and a brief ESSAY response to the following question: Electrification is the greatest engineering achievement in the 20th century. How do you see the future of the electric utility industry?
