Overview

A certificate in entrepreneurship introduces you to key concepts applicable to starting a business and running a start-up company. You will also be prepared to continue your education with COTC’s Associate of Applied Business in Business Management Technology.

  • The Entrepreneurship Short-Term Certificate can be completed in just two semesters (less than a year) and provides an introduction to entrepreneurship and business management, microeconomics, marketing and financial practices.
  • The Entrepreneurship One-Year Certificate builds upon the short-term certificate with additional courses in accounting, human resources, PC applications and business law.

Being an entrepreneur means having the ability to identify opportunities and take them from idea to implementation. By completing this course, you:

  • develop skills to identify new business ideas or new ventures within an existing business
  • explore how to start companies that serve customers and foster innovations
  • learn what it takes to own a small business
