Billie J. Zimmers

Billie J. Zimmers is the owner of Xcel Communications Group LLC, a public relations, public campaigns and communications firm.  Mrs. Zimmers spent over 20 years with the law firms of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff and Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs and with the Ohio Senate working in government and public relations at both the state and federal executive, legislative and regulatory levels. She has been involved in healthcare, finance, education and energy issues with an emphasis on funding. Some areas of focus included funding for education for medical practitioners; senior health care options; developmental disability programs, facilities and education; polymer technology and internships; restructuring of primary and secondary educational services; as well as issues involving modifications of federal and state regulations related to the practice of medicine and practice of radiology; and environmental and tax issues related to refineries and manufacturing. Mrs. Zimmers also was a Human Resources Corporate Training Manager for store managers within the United States and Canada. She presently serves as Chair of the Licking County Republican Party.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with a B.S in Business Administration /International Business and studied in France at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Nantes.  Billie resides in Granville, Ohio with her husband, Neal.
