Case Management for the Healthcare and Gerontology Professional Certificate
Case managers are key to promoting positive health choices and health outcomes for their patients.
Case managers are employed in a variety of settings. They provide client services, including support for families, in a wide variety of fields including behavioral health, rehabilitation, social work agencies, public health agencies, forensics and addiction services. They assist other workers such as social workers, and help clients find benefits or community services. Case managers may also find employment in nonprofit organizations, for profit social service organizations, and state and local government.
At COTC, students interested in the Case Management for the Healthcare and Gerontology Professional Certificate have flexibility to take classes face-to-face or online. Additionally, this certificate can be completed quickly in just two semesters.
Associate of Applied Science in Human Services
Students who complete the Case Management for the Healthcare and Gerontology Professional Certificate are encouraged to keep going because they have completed four courses or twelve credit hours toward an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services with COTC. Associate of Applied Science in Health Services Technology
Students who complete the Case Management for the Healthcare and Gerontology Professional certificate have also completed two courses or six credit hours that can be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science in Health Services Technology.
