CPR First Aid, OSHA and Other Non-Credit Courses Offered at COTC Coshocton Campus

New partnership with C-TEC

A new partnership brings highly sought-after non-credit training opportunities to Coshocton-area residents.

A mix of industry professional development and personal enrichment classes will be offered by the Career and Technology Education Centers of Licking County(C-TEC) through a partnership with Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). All courses will be held at the COTC Coshocton campus, 200 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton. 

American Heart Association (AHA) CPR First Aid course
The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR automated external defibrillator (AED) course trains participants to provide first aid and CPR and use an AED safely, timely and effectively. This single-session course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Cost: $155.00 per trainee
Class length: 5 hours

Fire Extinguisher Training
The fire extinguisher training program will train enrollees in the basics of firefighting. Upon completion of this single-session course, trainees will understand extinguisher types and operating procedures. Training will also cover the combustion process and different fire classes. 
Cost: $75.00 per trainee
Class length: 3 hours

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Awareness 
Description: HAZWOPER training prepares cleanup and emergency response workers to operate safely during various scenarios involving hazardous substances. This two-session training covers policies, practices and procedures that reduce the risk of injury and illness related to harmful exposures on the worksite. 

Cost: $165.00 per trainee
Class length: 8 Hours

OSHA 10-General Industry
Description: The 10-hour class provides workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights and contribute to our nation’s productivity.
Cost: $130.00 per trainee
Class length: 10 contact hours (12 total hours including breaks)
