Pre-Admission Course Requirements for DMSCV.AAS Program
The Cardiovascular Major AAS program is a selection-based program, meaning a student must APPLY to the program and then be SELECTED into the program before being able to meet graduation requirements. The following COTC courses (or their equivalents) must be completed prior to being admitted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. All courses must be completed with a grade of C (2.00) or better.

Associate of Applied Business
Information technology (IT) professionals provide support for nearly every business, hospital, educational facility and household. Technology continues to develop and change at a rapid pace, requiring a workforce with technical knowledge to design, develop, support and maintain the software, hardware and infrastructure required for quality systems.

How quickly can I complete the Nursing and Allied Health Technologies program?
Students interested in the Digital Media Design program can quickly complete a certificate and/or an associate degree.
There is a certificate students can complete quickly in just two semesters in the Digital Media Design Technology program.
Students who complete the certificate have earned credits that can be applied towards the Digital Media Design Technology associate degree.
The amount of time it takes a student to complete the Digital Media Design Technology certificate and/or associate degree depends upon how many courses are taken per semester.
Students who attend full-time (and take 3-5 classes on average per semester) will complete quicker than students who attend part-time (and take 1-2 classes on average per semester).
The amount of time it takes a student to complete the Digital Media Design program also depends upon whether a student double majors.
What classes do I need to take?
The courses students need to take to complete a certificate or degree are listed in a Plan of Study. The Digital Media Design Technology Program has three Plans of Study.
Can I take classes online or face-to-face?
Students interested in the Digital Media Design Technology program have the flexibility to take classes face-to-face or online.
Can I pursue a bachelor’s degree after I complete an associate degree?
Students interested in continuing on to pursue a bachelor’s degree can consider transferring to a four-year college or university. COTC has several transfer agreements with four-year colleges.

Home School Student
Typically home school students eligible to participate in College Credit Plus (CCP) take classes on a COTC campus or online. Home School students who wish to take a COTC course offered at a high school need to be registered within the district.

Civil Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Certificate
Students who choose to study Human Resources within the Business program at COTC gain knowledge and skills to prepare them for employment as a Human Resource Generalist. Human Resource Generalists handle the daily operations of a Human Resource department which can include screening applicants for employment, administering things pay, benefits, and policies and procedures.
