Jane Camlin-Tammen Family Reserve
Policies and Procedures
This document describes the policies and procedures for use of the Camlin-Tammen Reserve. This property consists of 31 acres of mature forest growth and is located west of the campus on Country Club Drive in Newark, Ohio. This property is owned by Central Ohio Technical College but will be used to support teaching and research as a land laboratory for both COTC and The Ohio State University at Newark.
COTC Semiconductor Engineering Students Visit Cleanroom
In Partnership with Neurxstem and Port Authority
In collaboration with Neurxstem and Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority, COTC students are one of the first in the region to get hands-on laboratory experience in the semiconductor field.

This scholarship was established by the Board of Trustees of the Newark Campus Development Fund with gifts from the American Legion Post #65.
What are the requirements to be considered for this scholarship?
- Academic Program or Major: A student must be pursuing a certificate or degree in the medical field.
- Geographic Location and/or High School: Students must live in the city of Coshocton or in Coshocton County.
- Military/Veteran: First preference is given to a veteran or immediate family member (wife or child of the veteran). Additional preference will be given to a grandchild, niece, or nephew of the veteran.

Calvin E. Roebuck Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Newark Campus Development Fund with gifts from his wife, Lydia Roebuck, and other memorial gifts honoring Mr. Roebuck’s lifetime service.

Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority (Port Authority) STEM scholarship
The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority (Port Authority) STEM scholarship was established by the Board of Trustees of the Newark Campus Development Fund with gifts from the Port Authority to provide scholarships to students attending Central Ohio Technical College and/or The Ohio State University at Newark.
What are the requirements to be considered for this scholarship?
Priority will be given in the following order and will cover tuition only:
- Employees of businesses located on the Central Ohio Aerospace
Center Campus (the “COATC”)
- Not restricted to Licking County Residents
- Related Individuals (spouses, children, stepchildren, and
individuals for whom an employee has guardianship) of employees
on the COATC
- Not restricted to Licking County residents
- Licking County Residents pursing a degree in a STEM related discipline

Iris L. Hicks Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Mr. Les Hicks in memory of his wife. Mrs. Iris Hicks was an exemplary and inspirational nurse and teacher that served her students in a variety of ways but her most important impact on them was her daily example of overcoming hardships while pursuing her goals.

J. Gilbert Reese Next Generation Community Leadership Award
This scholarship was established in 2019 to recognize Mr. Reese’s incredible legacy and visionary leadership and community support and to inspire the next generation of community leaders. The award is presented annually to one COTC student and one Ohio State Newark student in November. Each recipient receives a framed certificate and a $2,000 scholarship is applied to their tuition for the following spring semester

- Academic Performance: This scholarship recognizes students who have a history of good academic performance.
- Leadership and Community Involvement Performance: Recognizes a student with demonstrated leadership on and off campus who exemplifies a spirit of volunteerism and community involvement while involved in student activities, clubs or organizations.

- The donor’s desire is that when awarding this scholarship special consideration be given for students who have experience living or working in diverse environments.

- Academic Program or Major: A student must be pursuing a certificate or degree in a health science programs or law enforcement programs.

- Academic Program: This scholarship is awarded to graduates of the COTC Human Services Technology Associate Degree who have been accepted in the OSU College of Social Work BA or MSW program.

Licking Memorial Health Systems Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Board of Trustees of the Newark Campus Development Fund.
What are the requirements to be considered for this scholarship?
- Academic Performance: This scholarship recognizes students who have a history of good academic performance.
- Preference given to employees of Licking Memorial Health System (LMHS) or their immediate family members (spouse or children. If there are no eligible candidates, scholarships will be broadly offered to students pursuing degrees in health-related fields.

- Academic Performance: This scholarship recognizes students who have a minimum 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- Academic Program or Major: A student must be pursuing a certificate or degree in Engineering, Nursing or Law Enforcement.
