Digital Media Technology Certificate

Get credentialed at COTC as an Adobe Certified Professional

Digital Media Student working on a Computer

This certificate program provides students the opportunity to gain fundamental skills in a variety of multimedia production areas, including industry standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud applications); professional concepts (e.g., social media, interactive & web technologies, print production), and digital media hardware (e.g., digital cameras, scanners, recording equipment).

Overview

Digital Media Technology

Short-Term Certificate

The Digital Media Technology Certificate from COTC is right for YOU!

This certificate is focused specifically on the technology of digital media. It is an intensive, 21-credit hour program that exposes participants to a variety of media production areas, including hardware (e.g., digital cameras, scanners, recording); software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud titles); and professional concepts (e.g., print production, interactive & web technologies, social media).  Students can obtain this certificate in 2 or 3 semesters (including summer).

Students who complete the certificate plan of study will have gained the knowledge and skills to sit for the Adobe Certified Associates exam in any of several different areas (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver or Premier). Build your resume even more with a certificate from COTC and an internationally recognized certification from the leader in digital media design: Adobe. Click here to learn more about the Adobe Certification program.

Transferability

Digital Media Technology Certificate completers are encouraged to continue their education at COTC in one of the digital media design pathways — graphic design or web design. COTC graduates of digital media design technology who wish to continue on to a bachelor’s degree are eligible to transfer to several nearby four-year institutions such as Franklin University, DeVry University, Ohio Dominican University, Ohio Christian University and The Ohio State University.

Students who complete the Digital Media Technology Certificate are encouraged to continue because they are well on their way to completing the Associate of Applied Science in Digital Media Design Technology. Talk with an admissions representative or click the link below to learn more about the degree.
