Transfer Degree
Overview
The Associate of Science covers most of the required general education courses that fit a variety of majors and are needed to transfer to a four-year college or university. After completing your degree, you will have a guaranteed transfer path to all Ohio public universities and some private universities.
You will take courses on several interdisciplinary topics, including:
- arts and humanities
- English composition
- oral communication
- social and behavioral sciences
- science
- mathematics

This is an open enrollment program. To be admitted, you must submit a free application for admission and complete the standard steps to enroll.

Transfer Options
COTC’s Associate of Science is designed to allow graduates to move seamlessly to bachelor’s degree programs at all state-supported colleges and universities in the state of Ohio, as well as at many private institutions. In fact, every course on the AS plan of study is fully transferable to any school that accepts the Ohio Transfer Module or Transfer Assurance Guides.

Can I take classes online or face-to-face?
At COTC, you have the flexibility to take classes face-to-face and online.
What financial assistance is available to help me pay for college?
COTC awards more than $1 million in scholarships to students each year.
Every student is encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) to be considered for grants, scholarships and loans. Students who complete the FAFSA are automatically considered for some scholarships. Other scholarships require an application.
