Part 1 of 3
The Warner Library and DEI Office are collaborating to host a DEI book read for Autumn 2022 that is open to faculty, staff and students. We will be reading The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together by Heather McGhee (2021) and discussing the book in three parts:
Part 1: Introduction–Chapter 4
Thursday, Sept. 29, 2–3:15 p.m. (in-person and on Zoom)
Part 2: Chapters 5–8
Thursday, Oct. 27, 2–3:15 p.m. (in-person and Zoom)
Part 3: Chapters 8–10
Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2–3:15 p.m. (Zoom only)

Additional print copies can be requested through OhioLINK, Licking County Library and Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Print copies are available for purchase at the bookstore in the Warner Center on the Newark campus.
Students may email Brianna Johnson at johnson.9155@mail.cotc.edu by Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 a.m. if they would like to participate in the book read and need a physical copy of the book provided for them.
